چکیده
Staphylococcus aureus is a harmful bacterium that often contaminates milk; hence it believed to become severe health risk for humans . S. resistant β‑lactam drugs can be termed methicillin (MRSA). Dairy farms have high incidence of MRSA infections due the repeated use same medicines on dairy cows and physical contact between farmers during milking. This study looked in cow milk farmer hand swabs Tulungagung, Indonesia. Using oxacillin cefoxitin diffusion disks, phenotypic detection approaches were evaluated, then transferred Oxacillin Resistance Screening Agar Base (ORSAB) test genotypically verified using PCR find mec A gene encoding MRSA. One hundred ten samples 45 farmer's collected from East Java, Mannitol salt agar (MSA) was used cultivation purification. The disk-diffusion identify resistance. cefoxitin-resistant isolates tested ORSAB. In addition, PCR-tested gene. found 110 (70.97%) 155 isolates. Of total , 16 (14.54%) 39 (35.45%) known Cefoxitin Oxacillin, respectively. When with ORSAB, 23 55 showed positive results source most which 15 isolates, while only carried 8 However, analysis two According this study, many Indonesia, but few mecA

Isolation, antimicrobial susceptibility and mecA gene analysis of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus
The objective of this study was to determine the occurrence of antimicrobial resistance among Staphylococcus aureus and to estimate the presence of methicillin-resistance in S. aureus (MRSA) isolates obtained by culture and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods. For this purposes, 100 Iranian white and feta cheese samples collected from different suppliers were initially evaluated for the occ...

Background: Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) has been emerged as a nosocomial and community acquired pathogen worldwide. There are many challenges for laboratory detection of MRSA. The aim of this study was to compare different phenotypic methods with PCR based method as a gold standard for detection of mecA gene. <b...
متن کاملMethicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
Staphylococcus aureus is responsible for a broad range of clinical infections, most notable of which are cases of bacteremia and endocarditis. Staphylococcus aureus is an important cause of serious infections in both hospitals and the community. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) were first reported in 1961 and the first hospital outbreak of MRSA was reported in 1963. When MRSA ...
متن کاملMethicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
Staphylococcus aureus is an opportunistic pathogen often carried asymptomatically on the human body. Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) includes those strains that have acquired a gene giving them resistance to methicillin and essentially all other beta-lactam antibiotics. MRSA was first reported in 1961, soon after methicillin was introduced into human medicine to treat penicillinresistant...
